An informative, well researched and engrossing book, it's the fascinating story of what changed in women's life after WWI.
The war changed women, a lot of them started new careers and it was an epical and generational changed.
Those women were the first in a long time to work in different field and this book is a good introduction to their stories.

This is the second book in this series but it can be read as a stand alone.
I like cozy mystery featuring quilters and this was quite good.
I like the relatable and fleshed characters, the setting and the mystery kept me guessing.

I found the first part of this book very slow and I struggled. The second part is better.
Even if I enjoyed the second part I wasn't a fan of the characters and the story fell flat.

I love reading about ecosystems and this book made learn plenty about the ecosystem of a field in UK
It's detailed, well explained and easy to follow. I loved the gorgeous pictures and learned a lot about the life of any type of species that live in that specific ecosystem

A mind-blowing mix of noir and historical mystery, dark and gripping.
I loved every moment of it and I hope I will be able to read other books by this author because this one is excellent.
A vivid and realistic historical background, a style of writing that reminded me of the best noir writer, well written and realistic characters.
The plot is full of twists and gripping, a page turner I couldn't put down.

This is a riveting, engrossing, sweet and highly entertaining Christmas romance set in a small town.
I rooted for the characters as I loved Luke and Emma.
Emma seemed a bit "Miss Perfection" when I first met her but she grew on me and I loved her character arc.
I loved Luke since the first pages: there's plenty to love in this man as he seems caring,a bit clumsy, and read to confess his love to Emma even if he thinks he dislike her.
It's an enemy-to-lover romance and the evolution of the relationship is well written and realistic.
The small town setting, the characters are well developed and the plot never drags.
I appreciated that it didn't seem another Hallmark movie like novel as there's some more realism even if it remains a lovely Christmas novel.

I think this is an entertaining rom-com and enjoyed the references to the Durrels and the lovely descriptions of Corfù.
It's a nice rom-com with something more as the author is very respectful of the Durrels and there's plenty of information and references.
As for the lighter side it was quite enjoyable and I liked Penny.
It's a nice novel that made me travel to Corfù and enjoy some escapism moments.

This is a good historical fiction, well researched and well written. There's some mystery in the plot but it takes the backseat.
I enjoyed it as the characters are well developed and the plot is compelling but I wanted more mystery.
The author is a good storyteller, the historical background is vivid, and the characters are fleshed out.
Recommended if you want to read a gripping historical novel.
