I never read anything by SA Cosby before even if I read tons of praises. It was a great experience: a gritty and dark story, a Southern noir that kept me hooked and I couldn't stop.
There's a multilayered story, there's a great and well developed cast of characters, there's a solid plot and some humour.
This story reminded me of Hap&Leonard, one of my fav series, but it stands on its own Mr Cosby is a very talented writer.
The audiobook add layers and it was an immersive experience.
Highly recommended.

It's a great book if you are a cat lover as some of the behaviour on both human and feline side mirrored what happens in my house.
I was a bit perplexed at the beginning as I'm sort of once-adopted-forever-in my-house but I enjoyed the descriptions of the cats and the relationship with them
Good style of writing and storytelling.
Recommended.

Love Hart Lane series and Christie Barlow never disappoints: this is another heartwarming and compelling story that made me learn something about beekeeping business and root for the characters.
I had fun and had a good time reading it.

I loved the Marlow Murder Club and loved Death Comes to Marlow. This is an highly entertaining series that plays homage to the puzzles of the Golden Age making them fresh and challenging you to find a solution.
This is a real locked-room mystery that means that there's a body in a locked room and no open door or windows.
I was happy to catch up with the women who are at the core of this story: Judith the eccentric and very clever old lady who creates crosswords and is able to put together the clues, Stephanie the dog walker who can be like a bull in a china store but is always able to add her bit to the solution, Beck the overworked stay-at-home vicar wife with an eidetic memory and a sort of Sherlock Holmes way of connecting the dots.
They're a groups of friends from different social background but they work well together and are able to solve the puzzles because they join forces.
There's another woman in this stories: Tanika, the DS who must juggle with works-a father with memory problems-a DI who's back and can't help to patronize her-investigation.
Each woman is a indispensable to make this story work and each of them is well developed and intriguing.
The mystery is solid and kept me turning pages and guessing.
This is an excellent series and, even if the title reminds Thursday Murder Club, they're completely different and both high level series.
I hope a lot of people will read it.
Highly recommended.

It's been ages since I read a 42nd Street Library Mystery as it seems there's one once in a blue moon. The moment i started reading it I was hooked and glad to meet again these characters and the atmosphere of the library.
It's a good mystery full of twists and turns and the author did an excellent job in delivering a solid mystery in the right number of pages.
The characters and the setting are well done and the mystery kept me guessing.
Highly recommended.

A fascinating and well researched book about monks in history and their way of living. I found it easy to folllow and learned something more about non Christian monks.
It's a good way to learn about a different way of living so removed from us.

I loved Cameron and Mackenzie, they're a great couple and I love they're being nerdish and sweet.
Karla is a complex character, one you love to hate as she's not very likeable and very queen-bee.
it's a well plotted and entertaining story, there's more layer and I liked it.

It's an entertaining rom-com but it's also a thought provoking and multi layered story that made me reflect and think about what Kennedy is facing.
A brilliant. skilled and fascinating professional who is laid off by her former employer and land a temp job as receptionist.
This is the tart of a new enterprise and a sort of travel to become a more mature and accomplished women.
There's a lot of humour, there's romance but i was struck by the social remarks and the style of writing.
I can't wait to read another book by this author, this one is highly recommended.

I think there's a lot of potential in this story and Seelie is an intriguing character, the best developed in this story.
That said the story was very slow and didn't keep my attention.
Not my cup of tea.

I knew very little about Nubia and the Nubia civilisations. I knew that some pharaos came from Nubia but not much more.
This is a well researched and informative book that helped me to learn more about this fascinating place.
It's highly recommended.
