This novel surprised me with a clever, independent and fleshed out heroine, unusual because it's not a beauty.
I loved how the author mixes the romance plot with consideration about women condition in that era.
It was a fun and entertaining read, I liked the chemistry between Daisy and Theodore and I liked the plot, fast paced and full of twists and turns.
This is a page turner that will keep you hooked till the last page.
I didn't read the other book in this series but I had no problems in understanding the plot and the characters.
I look forward to reading other book by this author.

This is not an easy or entertaining read but it's a book that involves you and touch your emotions giving you food for thought.
I'm usually a fast reader but it took me a while to read it as I wanted to savour the pages and didn't want to go in an emotive overload.
The style of writing is amazing, it's intimistic and powerful at the same time and it makes you lives what is being written on the page.
