It's hard to review a book like this one, a mix of sci-fi and thriller as the relevant elements can be different.
That said I enjoyed it and liked how it worked creating an interesting world and a quite solid mystery.
I would be curious to read another sci-fi thriller by these authors.
Recommended.

Even if I didn't read all the books in this series I think this is the best I read so far: It's emotional charged, full of grief and people who are suffering.
The past hold the key to the horror of the present and it's not easy to guess who-did-it and why.
I was glad to catch with the well developed characters and the solid plot kept me guessing and turning pages.
An excellent and gripping police procedural
Highly recommended.

When I read the last page in The Left Handed Bookseller of London I hope there was going to be more books featuring these characters and to be able to travel to this alternate 80s UK soon.
It took more than two years but I did a happy dance when I was approved for the arc of The Sinister Booksellers of Bath and was able to catch up with Susan, Merlin and intriguing world of the bookseller and the Ancient spirits.
This book is even better than the first: we get to know more about the booksellers and meet a very dangerous Ancient with some serial killer tendencies.
There’s a lot of character development: Susan is facing her growing powers and discovering more about the books sellers, Merlin is a strong characters that I like.
I loved this plot that kept me turning pages and I hope there will other books in this series as there’s still a lot to learn and I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters.
Highly recommended.

When you write a pastiche about a mythical hero you know that there'll be a lot of comparison and critics. When you read a pastiche you know that you will read a book about a well known character with some differences.
That said I liked how Stirling recreated Conan and did a good job in delivering an entertaining story with an interesting world building.
My only issue is that the book is too long and the story drags a bit in more than one part and Conan seems a little less barbarian than the original
I recommend if you want to read a new adventure featuring Conan.

i think that Sarah Zettel aka Darcie Wilde aka Delia James can write good novels regardless of the genre and era.
I always enjoyed them and this book confirmed my opinion.
Rosalind is well developed, interesting and clever character. An unusual heroine who knows how to relate to the Ton and discover the culprits.
This was another well plotted and solid mystery that kept me guessing. Entertaining and gripping.
Highly recommended.

This is one of my favorite cozy series and I had expectations as Ms Burns never disappoints and I love all her series and characters.
This is not a favorite as there's a strong mystery that kept me guessing but Samantha and the characters seemed a bit watered down and faded.
i love them all as I love the British aristocrats but Samantha felt a bit too weak.
I'm sure the next book will be as brilliant as usual.

This is an intriguing stories as it's based on the life of a historical character and talks about a less known page of the WWII.
I knew there was a lot of propaganda and that people of the nazi occupied area were target with selected and manipulated communications. Something similar is happening now even if we call it fake news.
As I'm Italian i learned something new about how the Allies worked in Italy and it was interesting and gripping.
I loved Niki because se never stop fighting for what she wants and never gives up and stop searching for a better life. She's clever, shrewd, and ruthless but she's also a woman who can love and trust.
The cast of characters is interesting and the plot is intriguing and gripping. I couldn't put it down and was moved by some parts.
An excellent, well researched and well written story that i strongly recommend.

Even if I read some of Clarice Lispector's novels it's the first time I read non fiction. it was thought provoking and fascinating. A great writer, these articles made me fall in love again with her style of writing.
