Slavic mythology is very complex and there's some retelling but this one was the best I read so far. A mix of mythology, fantasy, and historical facts it kept me turning pages and I loved the world building and the characters.
The author is a good storyteller and I can't wait to read another book by this author.

I usually enjoy YA fantasy as there's some very good and gripping books. This one didn't work for me as I found it too slow paced and the romance too fast.
There's an interesting world building, there's some intriguing aspects of the characters but it wasn't my cup of tea.

I'm not a fan of Beyond the Page mysteries but the blurb of this book, the first in a new series, attracted me and I enjoyed it.
It's well plotted, the mystery is solid and the characters fleshed out. It's an entertaining mystery that kept me guessing.
