There's a lot of potential in this book and there's some very funny scene. That said it's hard write about this topic in a light way and interesting way unless you are Pratchett/Gaiman.
I liked the characters but the world building and the plot were very very light and some more development would have helped.

There's three MCs: Catalina, Jay, and St.Nicholas. I would be happy to be in St. Nicholas now as it's a lovely and magic place.
The story is festive, full of hope, a second chance romance that made me root for the fleshed out characters.
An entertaining and sweet romance.

Andrzej Sapkowski writes fascinating and intriguing fantasy books and this one is the excellent final book in the Hussite series.
The mix of fiction and history worked well and this well plotted story kept me reading and turning pages.
It's a good ending even if I would have wanted more.

Well plotted, gripping, featuring a great MC and a fabolous setting.
DI Kitto is a well rounded and interesting characters, the Scilly a fabolous setting for this complex plot that kept me guessing till the end.
The author is a talented storyteller and the mystery is solid.

It's always a pleasure reading a new book in Matilda Darke series and this one didn't disappoint.
Well plotted, tensed, and entertaining. The solid mystery kept me guessing and I was glad to catch up with the characters.
NOTE: even if could be read as a stand alone there's plenty of references to previous cases that could be spoilers.

I didn't read all the books in this series and I'm wondering why because all those I read are well plotted and gripping.
This one kept me on the edge and guessing, turining pages as fast as I could.

It's the second mystery I read by this author and I think these are well plotted and entertaining mysteries.
Dee is a fleshed out, clever and strong main character and liked her.
The plot is well developed and the solid mystery kept me guessing.
