It's an enjoyable and entertaining mix of Christmas rom-com and paranormal and I had fun in reading it.
The rating could have been higher but Zoe, the FMC, is a bit too dense and grated on my nerve.
I't enjoyable and entertaining.

This is such a cosy and sweet series that always makes me smile and wish I keep on reading as I never want to leave the characters and this places.
Another excellent addition, another festive and heartwarming story.
Heidi Swain writes lovely stories, realistic characters and always does an excellent job in developing emotionally charged plot.
Another winner I loved.
Highly recommended.

Widowland was a good alternate history that is based on a what-if: what if England and Germany were united and the nazi ideology ruled. It meant a different history and a women divided into caste according to their phisical perfection or fertility.
This book starts after the events of Widowland and we met again Rose, still working on modifying literature in order to made it ideologically harmless.
Even if the leader died the regime is still in place and Walli is the widow queen.
The plot that starts from here is complex and gripping. There's a lot surprises, twists and turns.
Some parts requires a bit of suspension of belief but I found the book highly entertaining and gripping.
It's the kind of book that keeps you hooked and never drags.
I think that there's going to be another part that I can't wait to read.
Highly recommended.

This is a marmite book: you can love or hate, I was more on the love site that most.
It's an original story with a lot of potential and a cast of intriguing characters. The world building is fascinating and complex.
There's two notes: it's too long, some parts seem to drag and are a bit boring. The storytelling is good but sometimes things get mixed and I could have enjoyed it more but switch from one timeline to other was quite brusque at times.
I would recommend to read a couple of chapters to understand if you are on the love or hate field.

There's a lot to love in this book: from the well developed main character who is strong and never stopped by the disability to the well done world building and the solid mystery.
It's the first in a series and I hope there will be a lot more to come.
Loved it and thoroughly enjoyed the solid mystery.
Highly recommended.

A highly entertaining and gripping novel, one of those I enjoy now and would have loved when I was a child.
It's fast paced, action packed, the characters are interesting and there a lot about Ancient Egypt.
A well written and compelling story.

The William Warwick series is an exciting series, they're always highly entertaining page turners.
This one, even if a bit less exciting than the others, is a well plotted and gripping story.
There's multiple subplots but the author never lose focus on the main plot and the story is never confusing.
Highly entertaining, fast paced, gripping.
Highly recommended.

It’s been nearly four years since I read Priest of Bones and it surprised me as I wasn’t a fan of grimdark fantasy.
Thomas Piety, Bloody Anne, and all the flawed characters who can be lovely or be involved in the most heinous acts. They’re all strong characters and you cannot help to root for Thomas even if you wouldn’t be happy to meet him in real life.
So this is the end of this series and I cried my good byes, was surprised by the twists, and felt for the characters.
It started as a sort of gangster story (sort of fantasy Goodfella) and it became more political intrigue showing us that gangsters and political plays shares more a lot of common traits.
This is the best book in the series, a page turner that I couldn’t stop reading, and I think that Peter McLean storytelling went from very to excellent.
The world building, the character and plot development are great and I was thinking of reading again the entire series.
If you never read any book in the War for the Rose Throne please start and you will surely love this series.
On my side I strongly recommend this book and the entire series.

This is a good mystery that I thoroughly enjoyed as it's compelling and entertaining. It's solid, fast paced, and Saffron is a great character.
I hope this is the start of a new series as I would be happy to read other story featuring Saffron.
The author is a good storyteller and historical background is vivid.
Recommended.
