A great mix of fantasy, horror; a feminist recreation of some great female characters and a different future for them as they're stronger and able to resist.
I fell in love with this story since the first pages and loved both character and plot development.
The author is a talented storyteller and I loved every moment of this book.

It's the first book I read by John Boyne and it was great! There's plenty of black humour, a dysfunctional family, a group of bizarre characters.
I had fun and loved how he plays with words and created a fascinating story.
Highly recommended.

3.5 upped to 4*
A creepy novella set at Christmastime and featuring the darker side of the Christmas European legend.
It was a fast read and I think there's potential even if it could have been a good novel.

Jack The Ripper is always a fascinating topic and this was an interesting book featuring facts and hypotesis.
There's a lot of details, descriptions of what happended, and even some pics of the victims.
Even if it's a well know story there's something new and it was an interesting read.
Highly recommended.

I love story about books, booksellers and I liked this story that is entertaining and well plotted. A bit slow at the beginning, it kept me turning paged and on the edge.
Good storytelling, world building, and character development.

An atmospheric and gripping mix of thriller and fantasy that I thoroughly enjoyed. I read other books by this author but this is different because it's adult oriented and less fantasy.
Adrienne Young can write and the plot is well developed and twisty enough to keep my attention alive.
Good world building and character development. I would have preferred some more details and world building.

It's a sort of psychological horror, one of those book that makes you feel a sense of dread without showing gore or giving too much details.
We assume about the social structure, we know about the Butcher and what the mc will be.
I found it dark and quite disturbing.
This the author's debut and I'm curious about next books.

This is a good series, complex and gripping and this was a good story, gripping and well plotted.
The complex plot was full of twists and surprised me, the characters are fleshed and the COVID is an added elements that add to suspence.
