This is a book that starts and ends with a bang and never stops keeping you on the edge.
We know what will be since the first pages and it's chilly and the description of pure evil.
I recently discovered Mark Billingham and this is the second book I read, I love the storytelling and the great characters.
The plot is well developed and tightly knitted. There's a lot of information and this book can be read as a stand alone.
Gripping, dark, highly entertaining.
Highly recommended.

I had fun since the beginning, loved the characters, and couldn't put this book down.
Great plot, excellent storytelling, lots of humour.
As I had so much fun can I have another book featuring these characters ?
Thanks

This is a story set in UK post Brexit but it could be set all over Europe as the hate and the prejudice are similar all over the continent.
Love can ignore hate and prejudice but it will not always win. You can be young and in love but you will have to face hate and fear.
Linda Green wrote an emotionally charged, poignant, and thought provoking book that force you to choose between love and hate.
Well written, tightly knitted, and compelling. It is an important story and I hope a lot of people wil read it.
Highly recommended.

Another good addition to Hedgehog Hollow series: poignant, and heart warming. I was sad to say goodbye but I thoroughly enjoyed this excellent story.
I smiled, was moved to tears and enjoy it.

This was the first book i read in this series and I think there's a lot of potential as the author developed an interesting world and well rounded characters.
I had fun and enjoyed the story.

I liked the first book in this series and loved this one, very funny and entertaining.
I was glad to catch up with Margery and Clementine, they're great characters and and I liked how they were developed.
The pace is even and quite fast, the mystery solid and kept me guessing.
I can't wait to read another story featuring these ladies.
Highly recommended.

3,5* upped to 4
I loved A Boy and his Dog at the End of the World, an unsual dystopia novel that is still amongst the best dystopia I read in the last years.
I had high expectations for this one but, even if I liked it, I struggled as the pace was very slow and it took ages before some action too place.
That said the author is a talented world building and this folk horror story would have been excellent if a bit more fast paced.
Recommended if you love folk horror.

Rachel Savernake's mysteries are always gripping and entertaining. This one mixes elements of gothic and GAD, a complex mystery that kept me guessing.
The atmosphere of the Blackstone is eery and creepy, there's plenty of suspects, and the excellent storytelling kept me hooked.
Highly recommended.

I requested this arc because I found the blurb interesting and I'm glad I did it because i discovered a new to exciting author.
This is a great thriller, a gripping story with an original plot and plenty of interesting characters. There's a lot of strong emotions since the first pages: rage, hate, grief.
It's not always easy to read as these strong emotions are expressed in an extremely vivid way and I couldn't help feeling affected.
It was a fascinating and riveting read, a surprising thriller that I strongly recommend.

Even if there're some very funny moments it reminded me of a lot of books with a similar plot and the story fell flat.
Not my cup of tea.
