Maine clambake mysteries are always highly entertaining, fast paced, gripping. This is another mystery that kept me reading and guessing as the author delivered a story up to my expectations.
I had fun, was glad to catch up with the characters, enjoyed the mystery.
Highly recommended.

I had fun in reading this mix of paranormal and thriller. It's a honest, entertaining, and gripping story that kept me reading.
I don't it's right to compare Koontz to King as they are different authors with different strength and weakness.
This is a good book and I enjoy the plot, the storytelling, and the world building.

i knew I was going to love this book since i read the title as I love locked room mysteries and I loved Golden Age mysteries.
It's a fascinating anthology and all the stories are at high level. I knew almost all the authors and loved their stories.
This type of puzzles are always a challenge and I love how well worked on a logical side.
It could be used as a manual in a "how to write a whodunit" course

3.5 upped to 4*
I'm on the fence as I liked the world building and found the ideal very original but I found it very slow at the beginning and couldn't stand Cassie.
The world building is very original and the plot, after the starting very slow part, flows and it's gripping.
Cassie is a bit too repetitive and full of herself for my taste.
There's a lot of twists and it's quite entertaining.
An interesting fantasy story.

Atmospheric, riveting, complex, magical. I could go on listing adjectives because it's hard to classify this book as it seems that any and all help to define it.
There's sorrow and there's magic. I loved the characters, the setting, and the excellent storytelling.
And loved this story.
Highly recommended.

I liked other mysteries in this series but i wasn't a fan of this one as I found it too slow and some of the turns a bit unbelievable.
Lily is an interesting character and I hope the next story will be more exciting.
This one wasn't my cup of tea.

I'm happy Hayley is back to Florida as it's the best setting for this cozy mystery series. This was another highly entertaining and gripping mystery that kept me guessing.

I think I read a book featuring a story similar to those of Nellie Bly told in this novel. I think it was a mystery and I was fascinated at that time.
This book is even better as it's the story a pioneer of investigative journalist, an interesting woman who risked for investigating aslyum life.
Ms Treger did an excellent job and the characters are realistic and interesting. The plot flows and the historical background is vivid.
Highly recommended.

A gripping, adrenaline fuelled, and highly entertaining anthology of short stories by eight interesting authors.
I knew some of them and some were new, I was fascinated by how some of the known author were able to write story very different from their usual ones.
It's entertaining and all the stories are at high level.
