I fell in love with Doors of Sleep that I consider one of the most creative exercise in world building.
Prison of Sleep is the follow up and it's another gripping, riveting, and compelling story.
It's another book with a brilliant and excellent world building. Tim Pratt is a master storyteller and his characters are great. I was happy to catch with Zax, Ana, and the other characters.
An excellent story that I strongly recommend.
Highly recommended.

A brilliant feminist novel that mixes fantasy, politics, and coming of age. This is one of the most original book about women's condition and I loved it since the first pages.
It's full of food for thought but it's also compelling and highly entertaining.
The author did an excellent job in developing the characters and the world building. The storytelling is excellent and I loved it.

I think this could have been a higher rating as it's a highly entertaining and gripping mix of urban fantasy and noir. It kept me hooked and entertained till the last page and I had a lot of fun.
The world building and the characters are interesting and the plot is fast paced.
I struggled a bit with the style of writing at the beginning of the book and I think that some editing would help.
There's a lot of potential and this could become a very interesting series.
Recommended.

4.5 upped to 5*)
Gut instinct made me read this arc and gut instinct was right as it's a gripping and well written mix of twisty thriller and family saga.
It brings you to some very dark places, alternates the pure horror of the mind of a very warped serial killer with scenes from family life where not everything is perfect or happy.
i loved Jackie's strength: she's heavily pregnant, a serial killer is taunting her, and her family life is not at her best but she wants to overcome difficulties and catch the killer.
The thriller is twisty, gritty, and I was surprised by almost all the twists. It's a fast paced and gripping story and the last part left me breathless as the pace gets even faster.
I think this is the excellent start of a new series and I'm very curious to read the next one as discover what's next in Jackie's personal and professional live.
There's a lot of potential and this one is highly recommended even if it's not for the faint of heart.

Barbara Hambly added another compelling and entertaining story to Benjamin January series.
It's a gripping mystery, full of twists, that kept me guessing. Great characters, plotting, and vivid historical background.

This is an important book as it talks about the horror of war and a man who worked to improve the life of soldiers who were disfigured during WWI.
There's a lot to learn about WWI, its horrors are not well known as they should be and this is something that people should read to remember and to learn.
Highly recommended.

I love Tracy Gardner's other series but this I'm not liking this one. I think there's a lot of potential, the characters are fleshed out but I found Avery a bit too juvenile and the story didn't keep my attention
Not my cup of tea

It was a fascinating, nostalgic, poignant and often funny book that made me smile and think about my holidays when i was a child.
Different places but something in common and the author did an excellent job is telling about time pasts, emotions, and experiences.
As he's an excellent storytelling this read was a treat.
Highly recommended.

Maja Lunde is a good storyteller and the stories in this book are fascinating, three different storie with horses as a common trait.
The characters are far from perfect, not always likeable but fleshed out. There's more hope in this book and i found it a lighter read compared to the other I read.
