Thought provoking, well written, and quite sad. I loved the poetic style of writing, the storytelling, and the characters.
I can't wait to read other books by this author.
Highly recommended.

I know that tagging an author like the Nex XXX is meant to be as a compliment but Tina Debellegarde is an excellent author and Batavia-on-Hudson had the potential to become an excellent series, a traditional mystery that keeps the readers hooked and involves them in the solution of the mystery and the life of the inhabitants.
This is a riveting and compelling story, a story of secrets, closed environments, and mysteries.
The author did an excellent job in developing this plot. Since the first pages we know that something is going to happen but we don’t know what will happen.
I was happy to catch up with Bianca and the cast of characters. There’s an evolution and the character arc is interesting.
There’s an interesting non human character, the weather, that plays a role and Tina Bellegard did an excellent job in using the changes to mark what’s happening.
This was a book I loved and I hope to read soon other stories as they are well written and gripping.
I read this book in a sitting as it’s a page turner.
Highly recommended.

3.5* upped to 4
There's plenty of potential in this story, an original idea, and a likeable hero.
I liked the story that I found entertaining. Some more editing but I enjoyed it.
It was an entertaining read.

I loved this book. I loved the retrò atmosphere, the pop references, the mix of classic and contemporary sci-fi with alternate history.
I love these things and I loved the well developed and interesting characters. It was great to read about the changes in Brooklyng and how he evolves from being someone who's involved in a crime to a person who is facing something bigger than him.
The first chapter in this story could have been written by Heinlein: the hero and the fight could be in some of his book. And I think the author pays homage to Heinlein in other parts of the story or maybe it's just my impression.
It's one of the most original sci-fi book I read in these years. I knew that the author is a talented storyteller but I think this is his best work so far.
I was fascinated by this parallel universe where humans settled on the Moon and other planets but the computer are those of the 70s. Where there's a collaboration between the most powerful countries and Kennedy never dies.
And i liked the references to music and pop culture.
I think this is something new and classic in the sci-fi world and hope a lot of people will love it.
I can't wait to read the next book by this author, this one is strongly recommended.

This is a funny rom com that deals with something basic as finding what you really want and, even if the characters are twenty something, their problems are shared with people of any age and/or sexual orientation.
This is the strength of this book: even if you are older, you can share the experience and think that some descriptions are so realistic that the author could be talking about you.
Even if there's food for thought it's an entertaining and light read and Laura Kay did a good job in balancing the different elements.
I didn't always like the characters, I found a bit self-centered at times but they grew on me
I recommend it because it's an unusual and entertaining rom com

I usually love Emily Henry's books but this one blew me away since the first pages. I'm a fan of small town stories and the irony in the descriptions of those type of stories made me cry with laughters.
I loved this book, I think that the author did an excellent job in satirising the myth of small town simpler life and the hysteria of Nora's life.
It's a poignant, highly entertaining, and multilayered story. You can read as a romance, a satire, a humorous story.
Do what you want but read it.
Highly recommended.

A literary romance you can love or hate and I loved it. The characters are sweet, tender, and made me wish I could throttle them at times.
The style of writing and the storytelling are excellent and the plot kept me turning pages.
It's the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last.
Highly recommended.

James Patterson is a master storyteller and his stories are always gripping and highly entertaining.
This is the best one in the Women's Murder Club series: it's a page turner that kept on the edge and turning pages as fast as I could.
It was a compelling and riveting read, highly recommended.

A well written and well researched true crime that made me learn more about these two serial killers.
It's details, gripping, and some parts are not for the faint of heart
