This the last book in this excellent series and the best one so far. It was time to say goodbye to this world and these characters I loved.
The world building is as fascinating and even more expanded, the storytelling excellent, and the humour helped to lighten the dark fantasy plot.
I can't wait to read other books by this author.
Highly recommended.

This is a book I find hard to review and rate. Because I don't know if I love or detest it. I loved some parts and some others bored me to tears.
I find it gripping at times and very slow paced at others.
It's matter of perspective I assume and I was expecting a book about John Booth and could an excellent piece of historical fiction but it was more than I could chew.

I was happy to catch with Nancy, Jonathan, and the likeable cast of characters I met in the previous book. I was also happy to travel to Dedley End and enjoy the atmosphere of the village.
This is the second book in this series, and I loved how the author developed the plot and the characters, moving on with the story of the main ones.
Even if this is a cosy mystery there’s plenty of darkness and secrets: there’re murders but there’re also old secrets that could destroy or change the life to someone.
The author developed a solid mystery, gripping and compelling. I couldn’t guess the culprit and was surprised by the twists.
My only note is that some parts of the investigation are bit too long but this didn’t stopped me from enjoying the whodunit.
I read it in one sitting and loved how it made me feel summer and the place.
I can’t wait to read the next story; this one is highly recommended.

I'm very interested in everything related to herbs and always liked Melusine Draco's books.
This one was interesting but I'm very wary when someone talks about herbs as alternative or not working with traditional medicine.
My mother and grandma taught how to use and recognise herbs, I knew some healer but I also know that my life depends on traditional medicine as no herbs can cure diabetes.
There're some interesting parts but take care.

I usually like TA Williams' rom com set in Italy and I couldn't wait to read this as it's set in my home turf and I know the area quite well.
I can say it passed any possible exam and I appreciated the description of the places, food, and people.
The story was compelling and entertaining, I rooted for the characters and liked the storytelling.

I don't think there's something like a bad Anne Tyler's book and this one is excellent.
I was fascinated by the story of the Garret, their member and how the author was able to tell it in a book which isn't very long.
Characters development and storytelling are excellent, the plot kept me hooked.
Highly recommended.

I found it very interesting and gripping: a biography told using recipes, memories of food.
It was an interesting and compelling.

I think there's a lot of potential and I liked the mystery, the paranormal side, and the setting.
Red is a complex character: damaged, with a lot of baggage, and always detached even if there're some glimpse of the person behind the mask.
The romance felt a bit stilted but I enjoyed it.
The mystery is full of twists and kept me guessing.
I hope this is the start of a series as I would like to learn more about Red and read about what will happeng.

Another highly entertaining, fast paced, and action packed dark fantasy series that I thoroughly enjoyed.
It starts with a BANG and never stops serving action and twists.
There's not a good/bad side, there's a set of faulted characters and you root for those you found more likeable.
Eric is an action man, he's back to life but someone is trying to cut it short.
The world building and plot development are excellent, the characters are interesting.
Cant' wait to read the next story.
