It's a good debut and I loved the fascinating art-deco worldbuilding and the cast of characters.
It's a bit slow at times but I appreciated and enjoyed the plot and the idea.
I look forward to reading other books by this author.

The Truth is one of the funniest Discworld novel, ihmo of course, but it's also full of food for thought and it's a great satire of the world of news.
We are suffering from an overdose of news and sometimes find hard to understand if they are true or propaganda. This is a book about what news are and it talks about a very serious topics in a very funny way (Otto above all).
It's strongly recommended as any other book in Discworld series.

It's an entertaining thriller that requires a lot of suspension of belief and it's a bit predictable at times.
I had fun and kept on turning pages but I would have preferred some more surprises.
The characters are not likeable but realistic and fleshed out. The storytelling is good and the plot, even if it's not perfect, was enjoyable.

It's one of those cases when you realise that it's the nth book in the series and you are happy because you have a lot more to read as you loved the story.
Grippping, well written, a cast of interesting character.
A page turner I couldn't put down and thoroughly enjoyed.
Highly recommended.

I don't think there's a specific category for Hap&Leonard stories: they are gripping thriller and very funny at the same time. They feature a copy of likeable characters who are also excellent PIs.
This is a collection of novellas and it's another page turner I couldn't put down.
Almost all the stories were new to me and I had a lot of fun: there's action, gore, and plenty of humour.
I assume that Hap&Leonard is a sort of bookish cult and I know plenty of Italian that love this series and consider it their favorite.
As I'm a member of this cult I think that more people should be reading this stories as they're well plottted, highly entertaining, and a lot of fun.
That said I strongly recommend this book.

It's the first book I read by this author and it won't be the last as I thoroughly enjoyed this mix of horror and historical fiction.
It's atmospheric, twisty, and creepy. The setting and paranormal side matches keeping you on the edge and turning pages.
The characters are fleshed out and I like Jonathan, a trans character well before it was acceptable and grieving the loss of their brother.
A gripping story that I recommend.

I loved Yinka, loved her path to discover more about herself and loved how she dealt with ther family.
I was fascinated by the description of the Nigerian culture and the well crafted plot kept me turning pages.
It's heartwarming, funny, and compelling.
An excellent story that I strongly recommend.

Another sweet story in this series: lovely setting, likeable characters, a plot that kept me hooked.
I rooted for Alex and Ivy and loved to be back to Mermaids Point.

It's one of the most disturbing and terrifying book I read in some time. Dark, twisty, and unputdownable.
The three POVs tells a story that kept me on the edge and some topics were quite hard to read.
Not a relaxing or heartwarming book.
