I adored every bit of this book! Casey writes the most endearing characters that it is easy to fall in love with them. I found myself wanting to be Theo with their confidence and Kit with his thoughtfulness. And I fell in love with each location they visited on their tour. This book was wonderful.
This was a really enjoyable story. I didn't actually expect to enjoy it, as I haven't been in the mood for YA lately. But the 2 MC's were both wonderful characters to get to know. I really enjoyed their relationship and how they slowly learned to trust each other. I'm interested in how the story will continue in the next book and be completed. The magic is very cool, and i like how it may actually be a little bit of science too. I hope it's explained a little more in the next book. And Inshara was a surprise. I'm not sure if I liked her character showing up so far into the story, but I like her as an antagonist.
This was a nice conclusion to the duology. I did get somewhat confused with the time jumps (life jumps?) and it was more gory than I expected
I was not happy that this was not a standalone. I have owned this book since it was published, and somehow thought it was a standalone. The story was interesting, and the twist was a little predictable, but it was a good book.
This was not what I expected. I needed a light book with some comedy... this had some places where I laughed, but the stuff that Eleanor went through was not "light". I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it!
Perfectly good continuation of the story. There were times I felt things could have been moved along more quickly, but I think that feeling came from me not being in the mood for Middle Grade, and nothing to do with the story or writing. I'll finish this series because I want to and it has great nostalgia feelings for me.
A different way to reimagine Beauty and the Beast. I didn’t love the way it ended, hence the 3 stars. I also wasn’t sure about the “beast” and how it only came out at the end of a season. The castle was enchanted but the rest of the kingdom went in and that felt like an afterthought.
This was a sweet little story with some tough topics. It was handled so well and the ending was sweet.
So stinking cute!!! I adore the relationship between Kianthe and Reyna. The story was fantastic with puns, banter, genuine expressions of emotions… I loved it all!
