Even though I had tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat through 90% of this book-I loved it. I could not put it down! Avery is the best. He had flaws and a tense past but I loved who he was! The teens I. This book were realistic and interesting. The writing style was engaging and flowed! I will be reading more works by CG Drews!

Interesting storyline, characters and magic. I didn’t connect with any of the characters though. I think because I was listening to the audio book as I read along-and I did not enjoy the “sound” of the girls voices. 

I liked Emmett. His character was good, honest and I enjoyed the book most from his POV. The magic was interesting and different than anything I’ve heard of. Most of the story was sad and troubling. The bound memories of many of the characters were disturbing memories. 

Such a wonderful installment of the Raven Cycle! I adore these characters and their progression is wonderful. The story has gone to great places, the magic is consistent and I’m excited for the final book in this cycle. 

Interesting take on Loki’s origin story. 

I really enjoyed this book! The world was very full and the characters were interesting. I listened to the audio book while following along in my physical book and the narrators were good. 

I enjoyed this second book in the trilogy. The romantic conflict was a little irritating to me, simply because I felt there was a lack of honest communication from Alina-and that’s a personal pet peeve of mine. Just be honest! But the action and set-up for the battle at the end- all that was good. I enjoyed getting to know Nikolai finally! I also really appreciated the extra story about Genya at the end. 

Entertaining, interesting and full of a rich culture. Good characters but story didn’t capture my attention enough for me to continue the trilogy.

Interesting story and good fight/action scenes. The romance/love was annoying to me. 

This book is eye-opening. I finished with a huge smile in my face and satisfaction in my heart.
