This book grabbed me and kept me entranced from beginning to end! I loved how the 3 timeframes/storylines intersected and related to each other. I connected with all three main characters in different ways, and wished I had their affinity toward nature and magic. I rooted for Altha, I hoped the best for Kate, and I wanted to be Violet! I was gifted an eArc of this book from Netgalley, but I will be buying a physical copy to keep on my shelves forever. I loved this book!
So good. I love these stories and how good they are written! This one was touching even though it wasn’t a sweet story.

This is a book I will be returning to frequently in my career involving the education of children. There are so many practical pieces of advice and tools described for multiple challenges with children.

The title of this book is what drew me in, but the practical and applicable information is what kept me intrigued! I have been called a "talker" many times in my life, but I never appreciated the derogatory way it felt to hear that description. This book explained so much about "over talkers" and how to become better at talking less and listening more... and it was all realistic! I appreciated the information about successful non-talkers and how to work toward that success. I really enjoyed the practical ways to talk less, listen more, and really become a better person that I would like to be. I received an advanced audiobook of STFU from NetGallery, but I will be getting a physical copy of this book when it is published because I want to highlight, tab, and recommend tips to so many people in my life; including myself!

This is my first 5 star book of the year! I've been anticipating this book for awhile, and procrastinating on reading it because I wanted to love it, but I was afraid I would not. I am SO glad I loved it because this story deserves all the love! I was just telling my kid that sometimes I forget what happened in books, even how they end, but I am ALWAYS left with how a book made me feel. The FEELING sticks to me. This book left me feeling hugged, comforted, loved, and I will not forget that. River's story was written so well, so open and honest, heartfelt and heartbreaking. This was just SO SO GOOD. Thank you Cory, for writing this. I hope everyone who needs to hear this story will find it and read it, and learn and grow and feel hugged.
