Was not a fan of this one. I may be spoiled but the prose just fell super flat for me. It was written to be an exciting start and I just couldn’t get there.

I think I liked this one better than the first one! Super fast read that you won’t want to put down.

Is it wrong that the skull may be my most favorite character with Lucy as a close second? Because that’s where I am and I’m okay with that. Of course, another bombshell ending and me without the next book ready to go!

Omg. This… this was the wildest and craziest ride. I did not want it to end. The twists, especially the last one… I am here for it. Daaaaaaamn.

Excuse me while I pick my jaw up from the floor. The Book the Broke the World broke me! So many things I want to say… no spoilers though.

Lawrence has a slow burn at the start that builds into a powerful story around the pursuit and danger of knowledge. I thought the interweaving of the stories and timelines built to an incredible cliffhanger ending. It was downright masterful when you realize the point in time that’s being converged on by everyone, and what’s more is WHY that point in time.

And then that end. Oof. I’m still reeling.

More, please!

I should not be surprised by the end of Somewhere Beyond the Sea I would be bawling, but here I am a big sniffling mess on my couch. TJ Klune did it again. The compassion and the tenderness he writes these characters with, you can’t help but love them as much as he does. A beautiful story of love, acceptance, triumph, and understanding. Read it, you won’t be sorry you did. Just keep the tissues close for those happy tears.

I really wanted to get into this one but the pace was just glacial. I wish it had moved a little faster.

I really tried on this one. Not a fan of the social commentary and by page 80 it felt like it was preaching at me. Reddit does not need to be a major plot point.

What an absolutely beautiful story! I desperately needed to read a story about a place that was based on love, and this was it. I adored reading this  if you need something to heal the hurt in your heart, this book is what you need.
