I wanted to like this one but I just couldn’t connect with the characters. I’m all for evil but this one fell flat. Assistant and apprentice to the villain did it so much better. I might come back and try again later. 

I wanted to like this, I did. I just think anthologies are just not for me. These stories were ok but not the type of scary I was looking for. Humanity as horror is reality right now, I need an escape. 

Was not a fan of this one. I may be spoiled but the prose just fell super flat for me. It was written to be an exciting start and I just couldn’t get there. 

I really wanted to get into this one but the pace was just glacial. I wish it had moved a little faster. 

I really tried on this one. Not a fan of the social commentary and by page 80 it felt like it was preaching at me. Reddit does not need to be a major plot point. 

Not intriguing and frankly the way the author talks about women is off-putting. 

The prose was not well-written. It was hard to get past especially with conflicting similes and tired cliches.
