Not a fan of the audiobook, but interesting enough story that I’m on to book two
Think of books 2 and 3 as being one giant book following the first.
Loved how well thought out things were, well crafted and unique characters who are completely believable. Loved it all

Note to those about to read this: this book starts out slow, but I think that’s because this book and the 3rd feel like one big one. Take a day from reading the 1st, then move on to this epic.
The beginning was very very slow, but definitely picked up around the point of the tournament. Glad I haven’t had to wait for the sequels to come out as I’m not sure how I would have felt, but binging them is doing okay so far

Cement Garden
...........
I thought I would put 4 stars but after thinking about it, it pales in comparison to titles like The Secret History.
Slow to build but the top was not worth it.
Main girl, Julie, and narrator, Jack, least believable characters.
