TW: racism, exploited workers, fatphobia remarks

I loved the awareness this book brings to so many topics. It is done so effectivly without being exploitative itself, which so often happens in these kinds of stories.

TW: None

I'm so excited for this upcoming Netflix series! Trans and autistic main characters, and such great humour that is enveloped by great world building at its finest.

TW: discription of ableism, panic and anxiety attacks, dispair, trauma.

Note: I'm autistic with an autistic child and spouse.

A super important book for everyone to read, bust especially parents and teachers. Anxiety screwed me over so dang much, and having this book and the advice given in it would have helped sooo much. Great and supportive advice.

TW: death, starvation, mentions of cannibalism, sex, misogyny, slavery, blood, mutilation, ableism

A really enjoyable and well fleshed out tale of fate, survival, sheer willpower, and identity. As a non-binary person, Zhu's experience with gender hit me quite deeply. To be honest I enjoyed Ouyang's story the most. He was so deliciously complicated, and I honestly loved him.

TW: death, talk of dismemberment (in jest)

If you liked "She Who Became the Sun" you will love this novella. The sense of humour, and brilliant characters, won me over the moment they crossed the page. I loved the queer rep, especially Tet Sang!

TW: death, murder, discription of a corpses, blood, HP reference, abusive parents

The effortless mix of fantasy, with the cruel realities of our world, woven together expertly. Inclusive, queer, feminist, and a brilliant manifesto to fight for, and remember victims.

TW: suicide and description of body, suicide ideation, racism, homophobia, severe and graphic bullying, PTSD

This is a story centering suicide. A harrowing yet important one of grief, anger, loss, betrayal and cruelty, but also hope, love, care, and burning brightly no matter what, because we are made of the stars.

TW: racism, racial slurs, homophobia, outing of queer persons, bullying, gaslighting, traumatic and graphic memories, suicide ideation, sex (off page)

Wow, just wow. A must-read engaging thriller, with so many mysteries, twists, turns, and an ending that makes you realise this isn't 'fictional horror'. This is bleedin' reality.

TW: transphobia, homophobia

Limited greatly by its short size, but still delivers some neat ideas and a brief introduction to experiences of us gender queer folk.

Note: I wasn't a fan of the heavily implied idea that phobic folk might be that way because they are insecure/might be supressing their own identity. It just feeds the trope similar to "you mock gays cause you are secretly gay" which in turn blames the queer cominities pursecution as an internal affliction.

TW: mentions of mass shootings, death, homophobia, trabsphobia

Severely limited by its size, but a great start in how the queer community needs to come together and continue to support each other. Could definatly have addressed more of the history of racism, infighting and gatekeeping in the queer community.
