This book delivered on all the hype I heard about it. I loved every second. Though I found the twist a bit too predictable, the writing and characters were just a joy to experience. The. Humour. was. glorious. Any critiques I might have had get a free pass cause this truly was an amazing book.

The ending, and the growth of Felix as a character, all his self discovery, was beautiful to see unfold. There was so much raw feeling right from the authors heart that really punches your gut in the best way.

CW: Bat is asked to look two people in the eyes (but refuses one and they accept and the other he tries as an experiment and decides he dosnt like it and they seem OK with it)

A sweet middle grade book about an autistic boy who gets the chance to help raise a baby skunk. Not own voices as far as I know, but as I and my husband and child are, I felt it was good rep.

Very torn, great book with excellent gender rep, powerful personal journey for Zen. But I'm torn when 'racist transphobe said sorry so we'll leave it at that' happened. Love this book a LOT, just a few sour notes.

A really great book if you want something like HP (but without the terrible author)! I really liked the absolute seemless integration of sci-fi and fantasy genres (and I'm not usually into sci-fi).

TW: mentions of suicide, showing of character with gun on their mouth (no shooting or death shown), blood, depictions of people as animals, animal bodies and skeletons, racism against Japanese in radio news report and from side character, discussions of the bombs dropped on Japan, fire, war.

Very much an art piece, and what art! Where line art was lacking in what some people would claim as 'pleasing', the colours and textures swoop in to flourish it into a truly remarkable piece.

An enjoyable story where the mystery itself is what is trying to be found, (rather than presented first thing and the rest of the book focusing on finding the perp), which I found refreshing.
