TW: racism, abuse, colorism, misogynior, colonisation, death, rape, sexual assault, police brutality

The definitive history of racism in America, and a great place to start for those of us who were not taught this in schools.

TW: racism, segregation, blackface, bullying, abuse, parental abuse, brainwashing, s*az slur (please unlearn this word, TDJ!

TW: Abuse, ableism, anorexia, anxiety, bulimia, eating disorders, emotional manipulation, sexual assault, rape, r slur, infidelity

This memior, of emotional manipulation and depending on someone, but also fearing them, is well worth the read. The story of emplosion after such a relationship, but slowly building yourself back up.

TW: racism, racial slurs, abuse, misogyny, death, murder, police brutality, residential schools, drugs, alcoholism, misunderstanding and judgement of Black people/Black activism.

A biography full of pain and a life stolen so many times and in so many ways. Painful, raw, and powerful.

TW: animal abuse, racism

It's so nice to get a queer 'cozy mystery'. I've wanted to try the genre but most are just so...straight.

TW: homelessness, Foster care system, parental abandonment, neglect, gerrymandering, racism

Wow...! This one blew me away and had so much SPUNK and tenacity that I happily caught off guard by. I loved Bella's character. She was so perfectly imperfect, but still brimming with her own pride.

TW: deadnaming, misgendering, transphobia, racism, infidelity, death, sex

This metaphor hits like a truck in the BEST possible way.

TW: death of a parent, depression, neglect

A very sweet story. I loved seeing all the characters came together to heal and help each other in such a realistic way.

TW: alcoholism, anxiety and panic attacks, bullying, divorce, vomit

It was so refreshing to see two boys with such a strong healthy and full bond as these two; nothing but love and support. This is a book about healthy masculinity healing toxic masculinity.

TW: blood, murder, bullying

A really cute and definitly funny read. Sadly, despite starting out fast paced and jumping right into the story, it slowed to a crawl till it just kind of... Ended. The ending climax wasn't one at all compared to other events in the book.

Nothing really large left hanging to really entice back to the next volume.

Wasnt a bad read, and despite my complaints the humour was quite refreshing.
