It is never too late to fall in love with your life.
Beth's struggling to come to terms with her new existence. After divorcing her husband due to his infidelity, Beth is struggling to find juggle home renovations, being the best mom to her two young children, and figure out what she wants her new life to look like. While cleaning up her children's shared bedroom, she makes the unexpected discovery of a box full of Agony Aunt columns written by someone named Evelyn Wright. Unable to resist, Beth reads the decades-old advice and, despite herself, life begins to turn around for the single mom.
THE LOST LETTERS OF EVELYN WRIGHT was a sweet, quick read. Beth was, at times, a difficult main character to sympathize with (she villainizes her ex too frequently and has a healthy dose of self-pity) and I can't say I was overly impressed with the romance plot. But, I loved the characters of Catherine and the original Evelyn Wright, Lois, and this story was a good evening read!

Emma Yoon has long known that the key to a successful love life is compatibility. Similar backgrounds and morals must mean a lasting relationship with mutual respect and unshakable love– after all, her own parents were a love match and things burned down quickly for them. So when the charming, handsome, and kind Micheal Chevalier enters her life suddenly the idea of falling truly in love becomes an unexpected possibility.
Micheal Aubert (under the pseudonym of Chevalier) has one chance to find love before his father, the king of Rouleme, abdicates from the throne in favor of a quiet retirement and he has to follow through his arranged marriage. For three months, he has the chance to find someone he wants to spend the rest of his life with, rather than just someone he’s obligated to.
Indulgent and so much fun, THAT PRINCE IS MINE is all the best parts of a classic Hallmark movie with a little bit of spice ;)

This book contains themes of cheating, deception, and child abuse that may mean this books is not appropriate for some readers.
Full of yearning and angst, THE ORBIT OF YOU follows two childhood friends after a chance reunion during high school brings up painful memories and the hope of creating different, unpredictable futures.
Captivating and beautifully written, Schumacher has once again created a meaningful story about life and love.

Each of the three Peacock sisters has a secret. Sylvie clings to her first husband even after her whirlwind engagement to the charming, and rich, Simon Rampling. Emma has fallen into the pit of a MLM and sacrificed not only her own personality, but the entirety of her family’s savings. Cloe, fierce and independent, feels stifled in the loving embrace of her long-term, picture-perfect boyfriend. And at the core of each of their stories– the trauma from their childhoods that still motivate their decisions well into adulthood.
A story of sisters who love each other desperately, even if that love beats below the surface, LOVE AND LIARS is truly a book for those of us who are looking for our happily ever after.

In her memoir, Elizabeth Camarillo Gutierrez chronicles her life as a US citizen in a family of immigrants through her major life events. After a heartbreaking separation her freshman year of high school, Gutierrez finds herself alone in the United States with the remainder of her family in Mexico– only the promise of an education and her own grit powering her through homelessness and extreme poverty.
MY SIDE OF THE RIVER speaks on the bonds and responsibilities of family, as well as the reality of America’s aggressive immigration policy. Gutierrez chronicles her struggles with food insecurity, mental health, and the demands of corporate America on a brown girl.

Wow wow wow. Fascinating, heartbreaking, and eye-opening, CLAY AND BONES peels back the layers of work discrimination and sexism in the FBI while also describing the work of the author, Lisa G. Bailey, as one of the first female forensic sculptors. Told with wit and searing honestly, Bailey does not shy from calling out names and detailing her abuse within the US government, but her passion for reconstruction is obvious in the way she describes the undying hope that her work helps the people she works hard to bring a face to.
This book was impossible to put down, and I highly recommend it to fans of Bones, workplace drama, and those of us who want to fight against injustice.

Hannah Tate is wearing many (many) hats: she's a new mother to sweet baby boy Bowie, devoted girlfriend to her rock star baby daddy, supportive best friend to a lesbian powerhouse lawyer, hygge inspired interior decorator, worker bee in a company she hates, and responsible daughter for her mother and step-father. However, in a painful domino cascade, almost everything that Hannah holds near and dear to her heart slips through her fingers. Suddenly, she's a single mother with no place to live and no home-- forced to move back in with her historically immature parents and trying to figure out her next moves in a tiny mountain town.
HANNAH TATE, BEYOND REPAIR is definitely Hannah's story of growth and acceptance-- it's nuanced and real, and I firmly believe that every reader will find something to relate to in Hannah's journey. The romance is spicy and fun, but it definitely takes second place to Hannah's story.
Some things I didn't love: the names G-Ma and Big Daddy for Hannah's parent's grandparent names. It was pretty cringe and may have gone over better if there had been an explanation for why Daryl wanted to be called Big Daddy rather than something like... grandpa? There was also a LOT of reference to Hannah's lactating breasts. Like, a lot. My job literally entails helping women breastfeed and even I felt like it was a little over the top-- it seemed like all Hannah wanted to think or talk about were her leaking nipples for the first half of the book.
Things I did love: Hannah. She was a hot mess express, but was also genuine and incredibly well written. I also loved her friends and family (weird grandparent names aside), her interior design skills, and the beautiful scenery of Georgia.
Overall, I really enjoyed HANNAH TATE and think it would be a great fall, feel good read!

This book touches on the themes of gun violence, PTSD, domestic violence, emotional abuse, death, cancer, and alcoholism which may be triggering for some readers.
When I started this book, I’ll admit I fell in the majority and thought it was going to be a feel good novel about some elderly women who create a cookbook as a sweet fundraiser. However, THE FUNERAL LADIES OF ELLERIE COUNTY was so much more than that.
Swinarski did a masterful job of weaving together the stories of three generations of a loving family and two generations of a broken one. The underlying message of devotion and sacrifice was beautifully told through the parallel of Ester and Iris’ relationships, as well as the idea of breaking an abuse cycle.
This book was funny, touching, tear-jerking, and uplifting– and it serves as a wonderful reminder of the importance of community and the perseverance of love.
