Some really interesting ideas, very well researched and explained I an accessible manner. The only reasond its not 5 stars is I found the frequent summaries repetitive, and sone of the evidence seemed like it could easily have been self fulfilling, as in, you're looking for particular exams of 150 groups working well, and you find them.

Overall I found it informative and potentiallly useful in every day life.

I wanted to like this more than I did. The concept was fun enough, but the writing seemed clumsy. The characters' behviours were inconsistent, and the plot was convoluted.

Hmm, I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't what I got. Accordingly adjusted my ideas about what the books was about part way through, maybe a grown up version of The Faraway Tree, and discovered it wasn't that either.

I thought it had a slow start or a long prologue, but I was about 2/3 rds through by the time I realised this was in fact the story. That being said, I think I enjoyed it, probably more than this review suggests, but I think that's because I'm still a bit bemused. It reads a bit like a prequel or as I said a really long prologue but the ideas and characters are interesting enough to follow and it has a satisfying enough conclusion.
