Really enjoyed this. Better written than I expected.
Wish fulfilment at its coziest. Relaxing, enjoyable, silly and wonderfully performed. The plot is very light and everyone solves every difficulty by being good people and communicating honestly in an overly idealistic way. I'd probably rate the story alone a 3.5, but the audio reallly elevated it. It made an excellent work out audiobook.
I don't really understand why this is considered a must read. It was enjoyable enough but I found I didn't really like any of the characters.
I have literally no idea what this book is about, I found it really hard to follow, but the language and tone were really atmospheric.
A real yarn. A proper mystery with many stages and characters. Very dated in some of its views and expressions and yet ageless in its tale and plot.
Spectacularly repetitive and dull. Philosophical and grand rather than in any way practical or relatable.
Long and meandering with many little pockets of plot that somehow lacked real tension.
