I went back to my roots for this one and oh my god. I cannot believe I read this and thought it was peak literature in middle school. The plot is there, I just do not think it was well done. It is frequently giving pick me and honestly it’s kind of problematic. Travis just wakes up one day and …. isn’t an alcoholic? I feel like that isn’t how that works but what do I know. Almost all the characters are shallow and honestly kind of annoying. All that being said, I cannot give this lower than 3 stars since it holds such a special place in my heart. Not only was I in middle school when I read this, the author was probably in middle school when she wrote it. It was a sign of the times and shows how much you grow from your youth. I would say that this is the book that got me into romance reading and I will always enjoy looking back at how much not only I, but my fellow wattpad readers have grown throughout the years. I am so happy that the authors on this platform are not only getting publishing deals but also movie deals!Wattpad is a community I will always be proud to support, no matter how bad the movie is. (I’m looking at you The Kissing Booth)

A fun little opposites attract sports romance. I think the characters were likeable but at times they felt kind of superficial. I’m not sure if that's just due to the shorter nature of the book, but sometimes the characters felt flat. I think it was nice to see the story of a plus sized ballerina and the struggles she had in the industry, especially with her mom being the head of the dance academy. Overall, it was a fun read but it wasn’t super investing.

I love small town romances. This was very fun, very cute. I loved all the characters and thought it was a very nice and quick romance read. 

It was fine. The amount of Harry potter references was insane and unnecessary. It honestly just irritated me to the point where I almost stopped reading. Yet, I continued on. I don’t know if it was worth it honestly. It was just an okay story that I feel like I didn’t gain much from. Maybe it’s just not for me, but I don’t think it’s worth the read.

To get it out of the way: Bennie is 20 and Stella is 16. It’s a “sign of the times” or whatever. It’s super weird and unnecessary. They both could’ve been 16 or both 20 and it wouldn't have affected the plot. The reason I gave it three stars is because the age gap is so irrelevant that it’s only brought up twice and I completely forgot about it during most of the book. I think if you put that aside the book is good. It’s depression-era and about a bank robbing couple. I think it was very interesting and the heists were engaging. I think the ending was also done well.

This was so good. I love the drawing style. It truly illuminates the struggles of figuring out your gender with how society is about how you feel. I also think the sexual harassment awareness was so well done and it’s heartbreaking that so many people have to go through that everyday.

I am getting more into stories in verse and this was a good introduction. It is also a YA book which I thinks helps make it easier to follower for people just beginning in verse. I think the story of self discovery and grief was really told and the verse helped add to the story rather than take away from it. I think that Sani & Moth truly learn from each other and grow throughout the book and it was very rewarding to read. 

This is a short and informative read. I liked learned about different traditions and fairs throughout the US. It was cool to learn how other places in the US organize and utilize fairs for different events and causes in their area. 

I honestly spent some time confused when trying to follow the plot but I think it’s mostly because I did this as an audiobook and didn’t really like the narrator. The growing relationship between Iris and her relationship was nice to read about. The book discusses varying parental relationships and how those affect the personality and growth of the child. I honestly didn’t care for it much beyond that because the scheme plot was not very interesting to me and I quickly grew tired of this read.

Snow is literally insane. That pretty much sums up the whole book, but it is a really good read. Just like the rest of the series, it is such good commentary and the plots and characters are very compelling. I read this after the original series and I do think that is a good way to do it because you will catch a lot of similarities and get introduced to people before reading this book.
