I don’t really know how to express how I feel about this book. I loved and hated every character (besides Santiago, I just loved him). They all had their flaws and were growing and regressing at the same time. It was an unique read for sure. I’m not sure there is anything else like it.

This was a fun hockey romance. All the characters were fun and cool. I think they did a good job of having an overprotective father figure without it becoming just sexist which often happens in books when they try to include that aspects. I honestly just wish that it was just a second chance romance and they didn’t include having a kid. Frequently throughout the book, I honestly forgot they had a kid together because neither of them was talking about the kid or taking care of him. It seemed like the kid was just there for convenience purposes to move the plot along. I also felt like every other scene the fmc’s brother was taking care of the kid and the mmc was saying he wanted the fmc in his life and then like at the end threw in the kid. It was a weird dynamic.

I said this before but I love Amanda Lovelace’s poetry. It’s so well done and very relatable. She does an amazing job at putting thoughts and emotions into words. She often talks about things I feel and think about and puts them into the words I couldn’t string together. This book in particular was about deciding to be strong and not fall into patterns that have been established previously. It was well written and inspiring.

I am obsessed with her poetry. Her books are so good everytime. I am never disappointed when I read one of her books. I loved this one also. I loved the little sister / big sister set up she did in the beginning. It was a unique set up I enjoyed.

I thought combining the stories of the stalker and her own personal experiences was a very interesting way to tell her life story. I do think this is a slow read; I was not really invested until about halfway through but it was good throughout.It talks a lot about the challenges of not being able to really move on and to be hyper fixated and obsessed with specific things. 

I thought this was really good. All the characters are so fun and I loved all the different representation in the book. I think the two main characters really grew throughout the book to become more understanding and they stepped into their own personalities wonderfully. It was fun to read a queer book that still talked about serious issues but ended happily and had a bunch of fun silly moment. It was very well written and I love every character deeply.

I loved this book. It was absolutely amazing and so gut wrenching. It was devastating to read about what this family had to grow through and how strong they had to pretend to be for their daughter. I wish nothing but the best of all of them. I was so amazing to read about parents who learned and grow in order to support their child. Throughout the book, you can see the parents educate themselves and take the time to understand what’s happening with their daughter even if they didn’t truly understand it to begin with. The writing was also amazing and so well done. This is an amazing book overall.

I know I said I love men obsessed, and I still do, but there is a limit. That limit is having your wife call you every hour with what she is doing and giving her a bracelet with a tracking chip in it. It was kind of crazy because outside of those two things it was just a regular mafia romance and it was good, I just couldn’t move past the stalking.

Simply, no. I don’t like horror books and this solidified this. It wasn’t even scary. It was just weird and creepy. Honestly, I was just bored and not at all invested.

Be Gay, Do Crime! 

This was fun and silly. I liked it. I don’t really have much to say. It did exactly what the title says; went through myths and legends and talked about all the queer villains. It’s a fun way to learn about a niche aspect of queer history.
