classic fun riordan adventure. follows Magnus Chase a demigod of the Norse pantheon who dies and is brought to valhalla where he goes on an adventure. I felt like the norse mythology in this was a little less explained in comparison to percy jackson. Magnus also is sorta a percy dupe. I felt like magnus’s powers were a bit too much so his battles were easy. 

another fun mythology adventure following magnus chase and crew as they battle giants, visit characters homes (with backstory!), and deals it’s lokis antics. magnus and alex’s relationship is very cute and i yet again absolutely love the representation in this book! 

0/10 God this book sucks I dunno why I liked it back in middle school. I am embarrassed for teen me who thought this was the epitome of literature. The writing is bad, the characters are boring, the

incest plot

is u n e c e s s a r y and uncomfy and ugh. I'm honestly surprised it was THIS bad though since it was made into a movie and a tv show that had 3 seasons. I am also thoroughly still obsessed with the Clockwork series so I guess her writing did get better. But this series is just atrocious and I am regretting rereading it.

Tbh i decided to reread this because I'm cleaning out my bookshelf and I wanted to get rid of this whole series but read it one last time. I'm already regretting setting this goal. To entertain myself I've been trying to figure out which characters are who in harry potter since this series is a rewrite of her Harry Potter fanfic "Draco Dormiens".
