It is very well written with beautiful imagery just as the past two books in the trilogy but the ending of this book left me confused. With the knowledge that this is in fact a trilogy, if i am informed correctly, then it was not wrapped up as nicely as the final installment of a series should be. The ending felt rushed and through together many random occurrences within the last few pages leaving many loose ends. This can be viewed as leaving you in awe and wonderment of what could happen next and letting you fill in the rest but i felt more confused than filled with wonder. It was overall a good book though don't get me wrong i enjoy it and Lauren oliver's writing but the ending was a disappointment in my opinion.
this is probably the worst book i've ever read as well as one of the first school books that i've downright despised every minute of reading it. It was painful to get through as the writing styles changed often and were attempts at trying to be deep and philosophical. in which grendel from the the epic and anticlimactic poem Beowulf, is a giant furry angsty teenager with many problems and bad influences in which he tried to find his purpose in life. Leading to the strange and boring ending of Grendel's death.
