Blackout
Angie Thomas, Dhonielle Clayton, Ashley Woodfolk, Nic Stone, Nicola Yoon, Tiffany D. Jackson
This was actually my second attempt at reading Blackout, I tried back in January but it just didn’t hook me in so I put it on pause for a while but then my inability to leave a book unfinished brought me back and I’m glad I saw it to the end. All the different love stories were super cute and I loved the representation throughout each one.
Amazing, absolutely loved this book! The story was so interesting and I couldn’t stop reading. So many twists & a satisfying ending. I chose it at random on Kindle Unlimited and I’m so glad I did! I can’t wait to read more of DI Amy Winters.
Moderate: Death, Domestic abuse, Kidnapping
Minor: Suicide
Overall I did like the story, Thistle Grove was beautifully described and I loved the relationship between Emmy & Talia. However, it also felt dragged out and the reason for Emmy leaving town in the first place seems a bit… childish. The second half definitely had my attention more than the first half so I’m glad I did see it through to the end.
lighthearted
Such an easy read and a cute story, I flew through this in a day. I know I would’ve given this 5 stars had I read it 10 years ago. The vibes were immaculate and made me wish I could have a summer place like that, the only downside is the ending felt a little abrupt.

Really interesting story with some twists that I did not see coming! Only reason it’s not a 5 is because I found the multiple POVs hard to keep up with.
