This was definitely more spice than plot, and I’m a lover of slow burn so the way they jumped right into this gave me the ick from the get go. That being said, I flew through this book, I couldn’t stop reading it and the cliffhanger at the end got me. I’ll definitely be checking out the second book.

Spicy & cosy at the same time, this was fun to read!

I’ll admit it had me hooked, which for a short story can sometimes be hard to do. I just didn’t like the ending, felt a bit disappointed by it.

I read this in one sitting, which would normally mean it was a good book. However… I have so many mixed feelings about this. The concept was interesting, but the writing wasn’t great. Everything felt very rushed and the spice wasn’t even all that…

I would’ve preferred it to have been longer, with more character development so when the spice hit, or the story progressed, I would’ve been a lot more invested.

It was a fun read in some places, if you don’t take it too seriously. But overall… it did fall flat.

Overall, I did enjoy this and found myself getting through it quite quickly. The plot was interesting, and there was a bit more depth to the story than I initially expected.

However, something felt missing - it may have been the "romance" (and I use that term loosely), but to me, it felt more like obsession than romance. The relationship went from zero to a hundred almost instantly, which made it hard to fully connect with them.

Also, has anyone counted how many times babygirl is written in this? Cause it felt like a lot!
