*Thank you so much to Sara and Imprint for the opportunity to read THE TENTH GIRL!*
***I tried to keep this review as spoiler free as possible! But please read at your own risk!***
Hi. Hello. It's been three days and I am still trying to wrap my head around the last 150 pages of The Tenth Girl. I been working with Sara on an interview for The Tenth Girl and I was thrilled when she sent me a copy to read so I could ask more specific book related questions! Jessica and Emily had the opportunity to attend a Fierce Reads event at BookExpo where Sara was a keynote speaker and met her when she was signing ARCs of The Tenth Girl! (I was on another signing line, so Jessica got a copy signed for me and then told Sara how much I loved The Tenth Girl!) I was hoping to meet her another day of BookExpo but I had sadly cut my trip short do to an injury.
The Tenth Girl is a dark and twisty horror novel set in Argentinian Finishing School in the 1970s, where Mavi becomes a teacher to ten young girls. Only, there is no tenth girl and no one seems to know about her or her whereabouts. Besides the darkness The Tenth Girl is rich in history and myth from Argentina and is written by an Argentine-American author. As Mavi's students and fellow teachers begin to show symptoms of possessions and the headmistress' son suddenly befriends her, Mavi knows she must get to the bottom of what ever is haunting the Vaccaro school.
I really enjoyed Sara's writing style. It is different then what I am use too and was quite refreshing. It also made her characters more relatable. The Tenth Girl is told from dual point of view. We have Mavi and Angel in alternating chapters. In the first few chapters, I wasn't quite sure what was going on with Angel. Who is she? What is she? Why is she at Vaccaro School? Is he a ghost? These are questions that I know readers are going to long for. But ALL of them get answered in the most brilliant of ways.
My biggest advice going into this novel: Keep your mind open and take in every single detail. Also, take a look at the aspects of the cover real closely. They don't stand out right away, but look at the fading edges of the cliff and the shading and you'll see them!
I am completely blind sided by the climax and the plot twist in The Tenth Girl. What. The. Hell. My mind was completely blown. With the pieces you are given in the novel, you come to your own conclusion on how you believe that this novel is going to end and then suddenly BAM! Everything is revealed and you are flipping through the pages to see what is going to happen next. You also might look like me who according to my sister, "Looked like a fish out of water."
I really loved The Tenth Girl and I can't wait to read my by Sara in the future. She has a unique writing style that is going to suck you in at the first page and spit you stuttering and in shock at the last page!

***Thank you so much to Swoon Reads for the review copy of ROGUE PRINCESS in exchange for an honest review!***
From the moment I laid eyes on Rogue Princess and read the summary I was sold. A gender bent, sci-fi, Cinderella retelling? Umm, YES PLEASE! I am really in love with the character art on this cover, I think it captures the vibes of this book perfectly and is so eye catching. Rogue Princess was such a fun read that was full of twists and turns and a plot twist that you will never see coming! Rogue Princess if perfect for of the Cinder Chronicles, Cinderella and Science fiction fans alike.
Princess Delia knows that she must marry to save her dying planet, but she is reluctant to. She wants to marry for true love, not for a political alliance. But a princess must do what a princess must do. After her failed mission to run away and meeting the handsome palace chore boy Aidan, things begin to get interesting. The two discover a rebel plot and are in a race against time to stop it. But with so many obstacles standing in their way and so many unexpected events that happen will Delia and Aidan be able to save their beloved planet?
Rogue Princess is told in both, Delia and Aidan point of views. I loved being able to see the struggles both characters face. Delia's situation reminded me a little bit of The Selection, princes from other planets are competing for her time and attention to become her husband, but Delia is having none of it. Aidan is a chore boy in the palace and steals trinkets to sell to pay for passage off the planet to begin a new life away from his cruel step brothers and step father. He never expected the ship he would be escaping on would be manned by the Princess. I found both characters to be smart and witty. Their personalities and actions seemed to balance each other out and they both wanted to get to the bottom of this rebel plan.
THAT. PLOT. TWIST. I did not expect it at all. It was so masterfully done and creative and is going to leave you shell shocked. I know I was, I read this book on a road trip and I legit closed the book and stared out the window processing all the epicness. I wish I could say more, but spoilers! You're just going to have to read to find out what I am talking about!

The fact I spent 95% of this book not having any idea of what was going on, only to have the last 5% suck me in and need book 2? WTF. I had no emotional connection to these characters until 5% ago. No body talk to me, I’m not okay.
It only took me months and 3 separate tries to get into The Gilded Wolves to finally read it from beginning to end. To be honest, I didn’t understand the hype. I enjoyed it but I wasn’t overly wowed by it. But that last 90%!? That sucked me right in and I knew I needed the next book right away.
Roshani’s writing style is always one I am going to love along with the characters she creates. Sèrevin, Enrique, Zofia, Laila and Tristan as well as Hypnos were well fleshed out and I felt as if they were real people standing right beside me.
I really loved the magic system in this book and how intricately designed it was. It’s unlike anything I’ve seen before and I loved it. I’m excited to see where the team is going to go on their next adventure because damn, that ending all but killed me.

Thank you so much to the publisher for providing me with an e-galley to review!*
I was lucky enough to be able to start The Silvered Serpents right after finished The Gilded Wolves and I can't image the pain of having to wait a year after the conclusion of the first book in this series. All I will say is this, I thought the pain at the end of The Gilded Wolves was bad. Just wait friends. That was nothing compared to the pain that this book made me feel.
Where I wasn't in love with The Gilded Wolves I am in love with The Silvered Serpents. Our favorite crew is back together for one final heist and the stakes are higher then ever. After the murder of Tristan the crew is barley holding on by a thread and have mostly gone their separate ways. *Sobs* Seeing them all together and some of their bonds falling seamlessly together again is probably one of my favorite aspects of this book.
The world building in this novel is spectacular and unlike the first book at all. The concept of the ice castle, the hidden aspects of it and its dangers had me on the edge of my seat for a majority of this book.
Séverin's character takes a dark turn in this book and I can't wait to see how readers are going to take to that. It is masterly done and only adds more and more layers to his already complex character. Also, can we just talk about how Laila and their relationship and just ugh. I am hoping they find a happily ever after in the next book. I truly am.
There are so many things I want to discuss about this book but I can't because of spoilers. Overall I loved The Silver Serpents and will be not patiently waiting for the conclusion of this series.

I am actually really sad. I love Kiersten's writing and her previous series, so when I heard that she was going to be publishing a Camelot retelling I was hyped. Anything King Arthur and Merlin related should have my name written on them, because I am here for it. But As much as I wish I could say that I loved this story, I didn't.
My biggest problem is that I felt like the reader is kept in the dark for way to long. I get that not everything is going to be revealed in the beginning and there is going to be a build up, but you do get little answers that help the world building and progression of the story. But I felt like in this case that as the reader I had no idea what was happening. I know that Guinevere isn't the real Guinevere but actually a witch sent to protect King Arthur, but other then that: nothing.
Overall The Guinevere Deception wasn't for me sadly, but I still say that if you are looking for a King Arthur retelling that is going to put the female character as the hero then this book is one you should check out!
