Abbi Glines is officially my go to when I need a quick romance to break up my fantasy/sci-fi binges. I always devour her books in a few hours. We got to see a bit of Cage in Because of Low and all felt a little bad for him when Low chose Marcus instead of him, even though we all knew what a huge man whore he is. I think it is safe to say that so far, Cage is my favorite story from the Sea Breeze series.
Cage got busted drinking and driving, and now is in danger of loosing his baseball scholarship. The only way to keep it is to work with the coach's brother this summer on his farm. Away from Sea Breeze, his friends, and girls. That is until he meets the boss's daughter. Eva isn't looking for romance, she isn't even ready. After loosing her fiance in a bombing overseas she isn't ready to let the beautiful stable hand her father hired in. But Cage has a way of wiggling into her hear and staying there.
Cage has grown so much. From Because of Low until the end of While it Lasts he is a different person. Which in all honesty, suits him ten times better then his man whore persona. Eva really broke my heart though. She was so broken. She lost her fiance, he was a best friend. She was lost. Eventually as we see her open up her heart to let Cage in, and let to hurt go it can't help but make you happy. I didn't connect with these characters, which wasn't much of an issue. I typically don't when I read New Adult novels.
The romance was a bit more gradual in this one. I didn't find it as fast as it was in the previous two books. Through out the novel Cage shows his interest, they flirt, the fight, they flirt some more, but it was almost natural. It was a big improvement. Also, I think this was the steamiest novel in the Sea Breeze novel yet, and none of the sex seemed rushed as it was in Because of Low.
Overall I really enjoyed this one. I am resisting the urge once again to binge more of these books.

To me all of Jennifer's NA books are becoming the same. Boy and girl meet, both have sad pasts, fall in love, overcome it, yadi yadi yada. Doesn't mean I love them any less, just making a point. Jen can write the same thing a ton of times and make it amazing each time around. This time around we got a sexy cop, spunky bartender who loves to wear shirts with sayings on them, and a whole lot of steam. Not a bad combination.
In Stay with Me we got the hint that something went on between Reece and Roxy, we don't find out the full extent of it until Fall with Me though. Roxy has been in love with Reece since she was fifteen years old, and he never seemed to notice her. Eleven months ealier there was an incident, one that involved alcohol, clothes being removed and some kisses that still make Roxy blush to think about. But where Reece is too drunk to remember it and believes they had sex only Roxy knows the real truth. They didn't get that far. Guarding her heart Roxy did what she thought was best, hating Reece. Only that is hard when she sees his face almost everyday. Soon they start over, but will Roxy be able to let Reece in? But at the same time Roxy is loosing her best friend Charlie, who is in a long term care facility due to an accident from years earlier and she is being stalked.
Out of all of Jen's leading girls, Roxy is my favorite. She is snarky, a little nerdy, and artistic. There are so many qualities about her that I thoroughly enjoyed. She is also incredibly strong. Dealing with Charlie alone, those scenes nearly ripped my hearts to shreds. Jen managed to capture Roxy's pain in a way that makes you experience it along with her. Though I didn't find Roxy's past as dark as I found Teresa, Avery, or Calla's it was still painful. She is in the mist of loosing her best friend. Words said six years before and a rock changed her life forever. Reece was the character with the darker past, he went into the military from high school and when he left the military he became a police officer. Only shortly after being involved in a shooting that left an eighteen year old boy dead.
Fall with Me gets my vote of the steamiest novel in this series so far. Things said, referenced, done, found, thought about, ect. Sex plays into a huge part of the story though because for the past eleven months Reece has thought that they had sex and he was too drunk to remember, when really they never did, Roxy was so mortified at herself that she never corrected him.
Overall Fall with Me was amazing. I devoured it with in a few sittings and I can't wait until book five. Jen used the perfect amount of mystery and suspense with a mix of romance and steam to keep Fall with Me from loosing your attention. I do want a book seven from Katie's POV though. She is my favorite minor character.

Holy crap. This book. This is my first Lish McBride book and I think it is safe to say that I will be reading more by her soon. Firebug is both action filled and packed with humor. The urban fantasy junkie in me ate this right up.
Ava is what is called a firebug, she can start fires with her mind. A rare talent that makes her valuable to the Coterie, the magical mafia. Firebug started off slow, introducing you to the characters and setting, but it was no less entertaining. Ava is a hit man (woman?) to the Coterie and when she is assigned to kill Duncan, a family friend and refuses things are about to get bad. Venus is on the hunt for her, kidnapping Cade, the closest thing she has to a father and threatening the ones she loves most.
McBride had an awesome mix of characters, Ava a Firebug, Ezra a were-fox and Lock who is something that involves nature. They are literally friend goals. They were so comfortable and cool With each other, they joked around and teased each other. But when it came down to it they had each others backs. That was my favorite part of this book was their friendship. Ava and Lock act like an old married couple, and Ezra is their kid. It is comical. I totally ship Ava and Lock, I really hope to see them together in the next book.
Ava was kick ass. I would want her as a best friend. Her job is to go around and kill magical creatures that Venus is not happy with, and Ava has no choice but to go along with it unless she wants to die. Venus pretty much thought that she had Ava wrapped around her finger until Ava flat out told her no, that she wasn't going to kill Duncan. Ava is sassy and a bit of a smart ass but in the end she is dedicated to the people she loves.
Overall, I really enjoy Firebug, it did get slow in parts but the humor and action makes up for it in the end. I am really eager for book two which isn't coming out until 2016. (Which seems like a really long time away) This will defiantly be a book I will be pushing at people!
