I'm partial to the 20s, and this twee mystery set in NYC starring a recently widowed socialite and her Swedish housemaid as partners in solving crime didn't disappoint!

My grinch-y heart grew three sizes reading this book.

I guess now I'm going to have to go back and read the previous twelve books in this series because the small Northern California town of Fool's Gold has me CHARMED. At the very least I need to know more about Mayor Martha. I'm a little bewitched by her! All of the strong friendships between the women of this town were so wonderful, and I was surprised to find myself enchanted by Noelle's shop, The Christmas Attic, as I usually avoid seasonal shops like the plague.
