What a great start to an exciting series! I really loved the narrator so I think I'll be continuing this one on audio.
Lockwood & Co. are another ghost-hunting agency in London, a London that is overrun with ghosts. The young are the only ones who can see the ghosts, and so they are trained and hired by these agencies. It's slightly questionable regarding child labor laws BUT it also makes for a very compelling set-up. Lucy is Lockwood's newest hire, and she seems to be more gifted than most. Scarily gripping, I hope that the rest of this series is as exciting!

A twist on 1001 Arabian Nights, this book is lush and evocative; it had my heart racing! So many incredible characters, and the world building is divine. Romantic and heartbreaking, I was swept away by Shahrzad and Khalid's story.
What a fun, charming heroine. And she has a chihuahua named Pimento. ☺
