I'm still gathering my thoughts and feelings about this book but WHOA. I never expected to fall so hard for a character like Alex, and yet here we are.

Everything you've heard about this book is true; it's a non-apologetic ode to female rage, but it's so much more than that. As much as I loved seeing Alex literally take down the patriarchy, it was seeing how her slow fall into friendship with Peekay and into love with Jack began to steer her own self back around to its humanity. Alex isn't a sociopath; she's a girl deeply traumatized and deeply empathetic who is balancing the scales the only way she knows how.
