I love the spin-offs in this world. Lexi has created such a great group of characters that I love when they bring new people into their family. It was great to go all the way back to Adam and get to meet his brother. I loved Adams book, so to see his family member coming in was wonderful. I can't wait for more!
It's always great to be back in this world with these characters that I love. It was nice to see Torin again for a bit and I loved all of the fulfillment of things we've seen in previous books. I didn't love the way time was manipulated in this one, but for Gillian to grow and change, maybe it was needed. Anyway, that's the only complaint in an otherwise wonderful book. I can't wait to see what's next!
I love that we finally got to one of "the three". They've been in so many of the books leading up to this and it was great to see one of them getting their story. I hope we get one of the others as well. There isn't much to say that won't be spoilers, but if you've like Gena's writing in the past and her storylines/plots, then you'll like this one as well. I really felt some emotions coming from these characters and I just love the whole extended world that she's created.

A perfect ending to the series and a wonderful beginning to my year! I'm not sure if the 5 stars are for this particular book or just for the series, but anyway, I'm sticking with it. I love the characters and how we move around from person to person. I love how different each person felt and I never had an issue with the people feeling the same. I really loved the ending and how everything was wrapped up. I saw some reviews about it going too slow in the middle of this one and maybe it did a bit, but it didn't go slowly enough for me to notice and bring me out of the reading. It was just great and I had a wonderful time with all the thought-provoking plot lines. This would be a great series for book clubs because the discussions could be great!
I only read the If It Bleeds novella in this one. I'll save this one as read and then finish the others. I wanted to get another Holly story before her book comes out. Anyway, this was a part of Holly that we hadn't seen before, or rather, maybe we got more of her life than we've gotten in the past. I really like her and I can't wait to see what happens with her in the future. ultimately, it's a mystery where maybe there are more outsiders and Holly needs to find out the truth. Our favorite characters are back in this one as well and showing Holly that family isn't the people you're related to.
Picking up with our wonderful characters just after book one, this one was more of the same. We jump around from person to person, see them come together and leave each other again, and also jump back and forth in time. If you liked book 1, you'll like this one just as much. Such an amazing turn of events at the end of this one too.
I read this last year and now I read it again with a buddy. It was just as good as the first time, and while the annoying parts of the book didn't get more or less annoying, the banter got even better! :) I loved being back with this whole friend group and getting to be with them again was so warm and comforting. And it also reminded me that I need to read the next book in this series. I'll get right on that!
I don't know what I was really expecting with this because I like to go into most books knowing as little as possible, but I was so surprised by the setting in the 1920s. I really loved that part of it and I enjoyed the language especially. I listened on audio and I thought the narrator did an amazing job capturing the lingo of the time. Anyway, Bray did an awesome job of giving us nuggets of information along the way and tying things up in a way that I didn't see coming until we were almost at the end. It was appropriately creepy so that I couldn't read it at night sometimes. I just really enjoyed and will be moving on to the next book soon!
I'm giving this trilogy a 5/5 stars. I love that each book focused on a different character even though they were all wound up together in this wonderfully beautiful world. I love the descriptions of the cities and the castles/palaces and just how beautifully she described everything. I loved Sieh from the first book, so to get this third book told from his point of view was so great! I know there are two novellas after this and I can't wait to dive in and read more about this world and the new shape of things after this book. So well done!
This was so good. I mean, I guess I knew it was good because it's so popular, but I just didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I am definitely going on to book 2 to find out more about Jack Reacher and his life. I love how much we learned in this one, but I also think Child did a great job of giving us some but not enough about him so that we are forever curious. I also liked how it was wrapped up at the end and yet still open ended. Definitely going on to book 2!!
