The way McQuiston describes love makes me literally fall in love with it. It's got such full bodies passion, all consuming and deeply human. Two bisexual disasters fall with their whole entire selves for each other, then they split, and then they find each other again. Through a food tour that is described with such detail, such appreciation for the art of food and drink. Very much would reccomend.

The biggest criticism I saw for this book was that everything in here was old news. And while I agree that nothing in here was groundbreaking, what was good about it was that it succinctly outlined intersectional feminism in an easy to digest way. This is a book I would recommend for people who haven’t been there read that moved past it, because not all of us are there. Some of us need a gentle voice to bluntly explain what all this noise about feminism is all about.

I really enjoyed this audio book. It was well written and well read. It’s got good representation of wheel chair use, mother/child relationship, and making new friends. The story line was interesting, just spooky enough for kids but not too spooky. And a young kid learning their value and saving their mom. We love that.

I really want to label this book cozy horror, which seems like an oxymoron. But while there are some dark/creepy things, largely it’s got a lovely cast of queer found family and plenty of humorous moments. Very enjoyable.
