I almost put it down several times, but powered through because I had heard good things. Overall, I enjoyed it. But I'm not sure if I'll read the rest of the series.
The book ended sooner than I expected. like, I'm still fully invested in what's going on, I turned the page and it's an image advertising the next book. I don't even think I knew this was a series...
Oh well, I definitely loved it. It was hard to put down.

I've paced myself reading this book because I've enjoyed all the stories so much. They are wonderful and fascinating!
Cute and simple. There are some fantastic life-lessons, especially regarding animal care.
I didn't realize that the same Lion Prince would be the kitten in more than one book. It's nice to have continuity, but I'm also enjoying the difference in human characters.
While the "big issue" in this one is solved by Flame's magic, they still bring up the fact of cats potentially not getting along. I do wish this story had done a better job of laying out how to properly introduce cats to each other, though.
It seems like Flame's enemies are getting closer before he realizes that they are near and takes off. I'm really curious, though, about how the other lion finds him just in time and whisks him off to safety. That isn't covered at all.
