Disclaimer: I received an ARC from the publisher for an honest review.

Opening almost immediately with a bad-ass kiosk avoidance scene, this book immediately caught my attention. Oh, you don’t know what kiosk avoidance is? Well, let’s fix that. You know when you go to a mall and there are tons of those little shops set-up in the center of walk-ways? They aren’t even shops, usually, just carts. Well, those are kiosks. Typically the people at these kiosks are very pushy and will do almost anything to get you to stop and let them pitch a sale at you. Including grabbing you. Well, you try grabbing a dragon to force some skin cream on them after they’ve already told you they don’t want to try it! Oh, and there are trolls, too. A small gang of them and one of them is instantly smitten with Beth, half troll and Allyson’s best friend.

:-D California has an Abominable Snowman? I bet he and his magic snow causes cancer just like everything else in their state does!!

Why are the twins randomly aliens with no previous clues whatsoever? I don't get it...

This one was just weird and kind of cheesy...

It sucks when you can't even pull off one little joke and then it backfires in your face so badly that you potentially end up controlling everyone. o_O

"Horse horse." Are you feeling a little horse, yet? No? I didn't think so. Saying the name of an animal twice in a row isn't much of a magic spell, is it?

I could use one of these clocks... o_O

I'm still not entirely certain how the time-traveling and shapeshifting happened in this book...

Nothing completely unexpected, of course, but quite enjoyable. :-D

I would be interested to know if any real life school has ever had wax mannequins made of an entire class of students under any circumstances...
