A decent YA horror anthology. I really enjoyed the idea that each story was a room in a house. There were some absolute standouts, such as Good Morning, Georgia, Cradle and All, and After Midnight. There were no truly bad stories, but I was a bit disappointed in some of the quality of writing for a couple. Overall a good intro for young readers who are interested in horror!

An amazing thriller/horror novel that keeps you guessing until the end, in more ways than one. For starters, its unclear whether the MCs experiences/past are truly paranormal or just suspicious, and the mystery aspect had me completely shocked at the twists!

Midway through the novel I was legitimately scared, and was having a blast try to see the next move. The ending was totally satisfying and I appreciated the quality of writing.

Ill be coming back for the next book because what was that cliffhanger?! But I didn't love the characters - there was no growth and Dacre wasn't charming enough to make up for being such an asshole.

DID NOT FINISH: 60%

Although the premise and world interested me, the plot was wayyyy too slow to progress, and had a hard time balancing the romantic plots with the mystery plots. I just couldn't stay interested. The writing was also not that great - a better plotline would have made up for it, but the two together made it difficult. I didn't enjoy how repetitive the writing tended to be, and the characters were fairly stagnant throughout.

While I enjoyed the book overall, I didn't love Oaks POV (I much preferred Suren's) and I found there was a bit too much repetition.

I loved seeing Suren's story expanded - I find her such an interesting and complex character. I do also like Oak, but he's less enticing to dig into for me. The romance is sweet but not quite up to the Cruel Prince. Definitely interested to see how I feel about Oak after I read The Prisoner's Throne!

Such a fun addition to the folk of the air series - I love a dual POV, so to get Cardans perspective and background was so satisfying.

Reading this was like visiting my teenage friends and self again. I was a huge fan of Black's Tithe series and so far this series has so much of what I loved about those. Jude is exactly my kind of female lead and I can't wait to see where her story goes.
