i’ve read @colearthurriley’s words on @blackliturgies and i’ve heard her speak at @evolvfaith but even that didn’t prepare me for how blown away i would be by the sheer power and force and weight and wonder if her words here.

none of my words will come close to doing this one justice — it’s magnificent and a must read. A MUST.

first read of 2023 was a fantastic one! 🔥 i loooooved this one!!! so fresh and fun and original, with ghosts and a ghostly love story that never felt cheesy (i know! i know!), that honored death and funerals and the whole dying process in such a tender way with the sweetest/best family running a small town funeral home. i truly loved it and was so surprised by it and would not be surprised if this stayed on my top 10 list for this year all year long!
