I read the Christmas edition of this book back during the Advent season, and loved it. This one was no exception -- it's such a fantastic collection of short writings from MANY acclaimed Christian writers, speakers, and thinkers. I loved the progression of the pieces throughout the Lent season, and loved that it didn't just end on Easter Sunday but continued for a few weeks beyond. This is an excellent companion to any Lent study or just as a standalone book to read throughout the season as well! Highly recommend these.

Loved reading through this one throughout Lent (although I admit I didn’t read 100% of it!) — it’s wise, thoughtful, reflective, and poignant. Henri Nouwen is an all time fave, and I’ll come back to this one year after year!

this book from @floretflower gave me allllll kinds of ideas + inspiration for future gardens and arrangements and more floral goodness. It’s beautiful.

If you, like me, can’t quit Bachelor Nation, you might be tempted to read this one. Let me tell you, unless you like reading a woman bash all her exes mercilessly and share some packing tips and some other fluff about her influencer life, it’s not worth it. That’s all.

Pride and Prejudice, but remixes to be set in Brooklyn and feature Black teens? YES PLZ. This was such a fun spin on a beloved classic, with ample allusions back to the OG without trying to force it too much into a modern context.

Ah. Poetry. Worship. Honesty. Vulnerability. Prayer. I love it all. This book is all of that together. It's beautiful. Our worship leader Paige shared one of Loder's poems during a recent worship set at church and I absolutely fell in love with it, and texted her right afterward to find out what it was. I didn't adore every poem of his (and I wouldn't expect that) but there were a good handful that I starred and marked and even copied into my journal to remember forever. If you're a Christian looking for heartfelt, earnest prayers in the form of poems, you will absolutely love this collection.

These poems (like many others) are worth reading out loud. Even just to yourself...hearing the words spoken just gives them a powerful richness that you can't always get from reading them on the page. Plus, it slows you down and makes you savor it all a little more. Just try it!
