This is the PERFECT starter book for all things Enneagram! Fun, easy (truly) to understand, full of illustrations and doodles, a breeze to read, helpful to have on hand, etc! Especially loved the insight on MBTI/Enneagram overlap— I find that stuff fascinating.

I wasn’t as hooked by the twists and turns in this one as other reviewers seemed to be— it didn’t seem terribly thrilling or surprising to me, and I didn’t find it to be anything especially unique. Not a bad thriller, but not a great one in my mind either.

I have long followed the band Gungor, loved their songs, and appreciated their journey of deconstructing and exploring faith. This book from Lisa Gungor tells the story beautifully— her voice is a lovely one and her journey relatable and real. There were times the stories felt scattered and the thread hard to follow, and I honestly wanted to hear so much more about her unraveling and rebuilding, but I read this in one sitting all the same. If you’re wondering where you fit in the faith world, if you’ve had a life event radically alter everything about who you are, if you just love the band Gungor, and if you love stories of family and humanity and belief, grab this one! (Comes out June 26!)

This was an excellent enneagram read— perfect for building on The Road Back to You and diving deeper into the relational side of our personalities and how we connect, communicate, and love well. I wouldn’t read this one first if you’re new to the enneagram, but I highly recommend adding it to your arsenal if you know your type and the types of others in your life and you want to take your relationships to the next level. There’s nothing more fascinating to me than continuing to explore the depths of personality!

I first heard about Carlos at Yellow Conference a few years ago, and I instantly loved his message and presence. I recently got to sit down with him in Nashville and do some video interviews (my job is the coolest) and he talked a lot about this book— you guys, it is SO good. The title comes from a story about a woman repeating praying that God would clear the cobwebs from her life... when really, what she needed to do is kill the spider. This book tackles the hard stuff and gets right to the heart of the matter— our behaviors, our sin, our anxieties, they come from a deeper place, and we have to be willing to go there and uncover them and do the hard work to truly kill the spiders and stop new cobwebs from cropping up. This book is super well-written, bold, helpful, and life-changing. Loved every word.
