The Mona Lisa Vanishes: A Legendary Painter, a Shocking Heist, and the Birth of a Global Celebrity
This was horribly sad. Well written, and the audiobook actor was great, but the story itself was so heartbreaking.
This book was, as someone outside of the Deaf community, a really illuminating story. There’s so many aspects of Deaf culture in this book, and it had a great message. What keeps me from 5 stars is that at times, it felt more educational than crafting a story. I think for a teenager who knows nothing about Deaf culture, that would be a great and this book would be so useful in giving them different perspectives, but for me as an adult I saw those moments of teaching as taking me out of the story a little more. Still incredibly important and a good book!
