Very cheesy and very cinematic. This is just waiting to be turned into a movie. The story itself was fine, mostly just entertaining and not much beyond that. 

I liked this story, but felt like more needed to happen to make it truly engaging. There were really interesting topics discussed, but the characters felt a little flat to me. 

I really liked the style of this book, and how balanced it was. It was clearly trying to not favor one side over the other, and to really highlight the societal issues that this case addressed. A very well done story. 

I thought I was going to hate this book  based on the first few pages because it was truly rough. But somehow, maybe because of Hall’s magic, this book became just so much fun. It reminded me of Alexis Rose in such a strong way, which I loved. 

Adichie captures grief so well. She beautifully exploited her relationship with her father and how his loss affected her and her family. 

I haven’t read this book for over a decade, and I was pleasantly surprised! It was a bit repetitive, and needed more depth in parts, but this book just proves that Sarah Dessen has always been the master of writing teenagers. 

I read this because one of my students read it last year, and he passed away last weekend. I’m so glad he enjoyed this book, and that I also enjoyed it. I haven’t read many books set in Missouri, so that was cool, and the two characters had really great journeys. The romance was a little iffy for me, but it was a sweet story overall. 

Much like Red and Blue, at first my love of this book wasn’t for sure. It took time for me to understand the world and the structure, but once I did I was hooked. The writing is gorgeous, and the sense of hope throughout the story is beautiful.
