My daughter loves these books, and they're fun to read out loud. They lend themselves well to voices. My only complaint, and maybe this is just me, is the made up Spanish. I get that he's in the land of make-believe and doesn't actually know Spanish, but I don't want my daughter to think putting an -o on the end of words automatically converts them from English to Spanish.

The story premise was good, but that's it. The character development was almost nonexistent, the back story needed more fleshing out, and the POV switched back and forth from one sibling to the other, which was just annoying. I managed to finish it, but I won't be reading the rest of the series.

This is a Christian based relationship book, and I am not Christian. In the first half , the religious comments were actually interesting when looked at as historical reasons for cultural behaviors. The second half got a bit preachy, but I stuck with it because he had some really solid reasons behind what he was saying. I'm glad I did. The entire book was full of really good, solid, helpful advice. Yes, I've put quite a bit into practice, and yes, it's working.

This was actually an okay read up until the end. The characters were a bit stereotypical, but it wasn't awful. The reason he gives for the dome, however, was incredibly cliche. My husband laughed at me, because I exploded when I reached it. "Are you freakin' kidding me?!?!" It ruined the book for me. Am I the only one who thinks the author is resting on his laurels a bit?
