Short and Spicy

It's becoming more and more evident that Serena Akeroyd is becoming one of my favourite authors.

I'm normally not a fan of MC romances, but the characters are beautifully flawed, the banter is on point and the plot keeps me entertained. Anybody looking to give motorcycle club-style romances a second chance she definitely picked this up.

Think Hating Game but a whole lot spicier.

4% in and I knew this was going to be one of my favourites. Why? Because it made me feel invested.

There’s nothing I love more than when an author knows how to write small moments. Something as simple as being together in the kitchen, a glance or grabbing some’s hand, it's beautiful and intimate and so difficult to write and make it seem authentic. Serena really knows how to create that level of chemistry that I was completely consumed in reading. We can all agree that writing excellent sex is talent, but what’s more of talent is being able to write intimacy and have the reader feel it.

It's also a bonus to write a plus-size character when her thoughts about her body are not used as a plot device. I am so excited to dig into this world more!
