Creepy and disgusting, but that's what I came for. Only one character in this story, the uncle, was even remotely developed, and I actually think it should have been told from his perspective.
Spoiler
The uncle's father did research during WWII to develop machines powered by a gaseous byproduct of a bacterial germ, and the uncle continued the r&d. Much more interesting than following the psychotic, flat girlfriend and her boyfriend (the nephew of the uncle), I think it would have been better to develop the story from the uncle's perspective. Why was he obsessed with carrying on his father's project? What did he want to accomplish? Etc.
This series just keeps getting better! The stories were more connected and developed than in the first book. I hope the last one is even more so. And the art is fantastic.
I think I found my manga niche: horror. This series is creepy-tastic but not so real that you can't read it at night. I only wish the stories had been more drawn out... As in more developed.
